LEARN MORE ABOUT SEASIDE
SEASIDE, Ore. – September 30th, 2019 – Seaside Lodging LLC celebrated the ground breaking of its 64-room boutique hotel in Seaside, Oregon. The groundbreaking ceremony included Seaside Lodging co-owners, project managers plus prominent members of the local business community, including Seaside Mayor Jay Barber, Kevin Leahy, the executive director of CEDR, along with many others.
Executive Vice President Eric Kneeland & project manager Jeremy Miller from Deacon Construction, local architect Mark Mead, as well as interior designer, Jim Staicoff from Oculus Inc., were also on-hand for the historic event. General Contractor, Deacon Construction is no stranger to the area, having also constructed the River Inn at Seaside, another successful hotel in the Seaside Lodging portfolio.
“We are shooting for the upscale hotel here, it’s a new market for Seaside and we hope to be very successful,” said Masudur Khan, co-owner and managing director from Seaside Lodging LLC. “We are designing the hotel, regardless of the age, we think that anybody that comes to hotel, whether they are young, mid-age or older, everyone will have fun and a good time,” he said. “Seaside needs this segment; we are not competing with ourselves or with other hotels. We hope that we can bring new tourists to the city by building this hotel,” Khan added.
When completed in May of 2020, the four-story property will be located on 250 1st Ave., the previous site of the City Center Motel. The 38,000-square-foot hotel will offer tourists and convention guests high-end amenities such as a saltwater swimming pool, meeting space, fitness center, ocean views and much more.
